Homes and Neighbourhoods are seeking a customer focused and self-motivated individual to join the team. The successful applicant will provide back office admin support to the Estate Caretaking team and supporting with the implementation of service charges. The Estate Caretaking Service provides an effective and high-quality estate environmental service, supporting Homes & Neighbourhoods staff to deliver a customer focused holistic Housing Management Service.

The main requirement of a Housing Assistant is to:

  • Deal with the ordering, invoices, monitoring and other processes around budgets within the Estate Caretaking team
  • Distribute work tickets and update systems accordingly
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including setting up and maintaining records and systems both manual and electronic, typing of letters and filing.
  • Work closely with colleagues from other council departments to accurately produce service charge data, using Microsoft word and Excel
The successful candidate will be a hybrid worker, with a mix of working from home and office locations across Kirklees. They will be expected to work during normal office hours (9am-5pm) Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will benefit from having a Full UK, clean driving licence with a vehicle available for work.
