About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager to join is to effectively deliver a front-line service. As a Team Manager you will need to ensure that the work of your team is compliant with statutory requirements and that you play a key role in shaping and delivering services for households in housing need, keeping abreast of new initiatives and caselaw and working in partnership to maximise positive outcomes for customers.
You will be required to work under pressure managing one of five generic teams responsible for offering essential and holistic front-line services by finding practical and long-term housing solutions for those homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will provide strong leadership and ensure staff are competent in working within statutory requirements.
About you
To be considered for this role, you must have extensive understanding of housing and homelessness legislation. You will require excellent people management skills; managing a diverse team covering a broad range of duties to find housing solutions for homeless applicants or those at risk of homelessness. You will be required to work strategically with colleagues across the Council and with external partner agencies to ensure the Council's strategic housing and homelessness objectives are achieved.
