Job Purpose

Be at the forefront of change as you help lead the coordination, programming, and facilitation of affordable and specialist housing programmes in Pembrokeshire. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with key partners to develop, deliver, and enhance the local housing landscape.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive the delivery of innovative and sustainable affordable housing initiatives.
  • Source, manage, and maximise external funding - with a particular focus on grants, claims, and financial reporting towards the end of the financial year.
  • Foster effective partnerships with local developers, housing associations, and community stakeholders.
  • Provide expert project management and strategic advice on capital accommodation programmes.
  • Elevate the quality, affordability, and diversity of housing developments to meet local needs.
Requirements
  • A job-related degree or CIH Level 4 in Housing.
  • Proven experience in project management, building, surveying, housing, or architecture.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of housing legislation, including the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
  • A successful record of partnership working with communities, private companies, or voluntary organisations.
  • A strong understanding of emerging housing improvement models.
Skills and Attributes

Bring commitment, enthusiasm, and a passion for transforming affordable housing provision. You'll need excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. A valid UK driving licence is required, and Welsh language skills are desirable.

Working Environment

This is primarily a desk-based role, with travel required across Pembrokeshire and occasionally beyond the county. The position is fixed term for 12 months.
