The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, highly motivated individual to join our successful Independent Living Skills (ILS) Learning Area.

  • £21,108 - £41,544 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and teach across a range of courses ensuring schemes/records of work, assignment schedules, are appropriate to the syllabus content and awarding body standards.
  • Ensure teaching and learning strategies and teaching materials are planned as well as accessible to meet the varied needs of all learners, and that Welsh Government initiatives e.g. ESDGC; Welsh Ethos; ES; Employability are embedded and assessed effectively.
  • Adopt and use digital tools/solutions for delivery and assessment on line in accordance with prescribed College endorsed platforms.
  • Assess and monitor learner progress, including the setting of targets, maintaining records of work and achievement in line with internal and external schedules/ criteria and college targets.
About you:
  • You will have at least 2 years experience of teaching learners with significant ALN.
  • You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent level 4 qualification with experience of working in a relevant role. You will possess/or be prepared to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven track record of achieving excellent attendance and punctuality, providing a strong role model for learners.
  • Ability to support and nurture diverse learning groups with the aim of meeting desired outcomes.
