About The Role MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE The Review Meeting is central to the Review process. It is where matters arising from the Review reports can be properly explored. The Vacancy Full time, 37 hours a week. £23,775 progressing up to £25,027 Southampton Young People and Parents provides supported accommodation for up to 20 people between the age of 16 and 21, including care leavers and looked after children. As well as up to 30 young parents, between the age of 16 and 21, with babies or young children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service operates across various locations in Southampton, each is tailored to the needs of the clients and offer various levels of support. You will be working closely with family nurse practitioners, social services and other agencies to support young parents to develop good parenting skills and to keep their children safe. Full Time: 37 Hours per week - Hybrid working (Demand led &amp; once fully trained) The Service: Portsmouth City Council's Housing Needs, Advice &amp; Support Service works directly with customers to help deal with housing issues and prevent homelessness in the city. We are a busy front-line service dealing directly with customers, many of whom are vulnerable and/or facing homelessness. The service assess and advise customers on the Housing Needs, Advice &amp; Support available to them, provide support services to vulnerable people and rough sleepers, provide temporary accommodation and link with providers to help people move into more permanent accommodation. The Accommodation &amp; Allocations team provide the link into accommodation for those that approach the council. This includes temporary accommodation for the homeless and links to external housing providers, including housing associations and private sector landlords, who the council allocates housing to.
