Homeless Support Worker Assistant

The Vacancy Our Dorset team is looking for an Independent Living Housing Officer to join the team for a 12 month fixed term contract. As a Housing Officer you'll be providing housing management services to customers living within our independent housing properties, taking a holistic approach, ensuring an enhanced service is offered. You'll be seen a someone who is able to deliver a reliable customer service in a professional and confident manner. About you You will come to the role with knowledge of the housing sector and current housing issues. Alongside a strong understanding of the needs of older, disabled and vulnerable customers and the services that can be accessed for them. You'll be able to demonstrate your resilience, giving examples of when you have worked in challenging, emotive situations and how you've been able to apply empathy and patience. You will be a natural problem solver, a 'can do' person, always keen to see a task through to the end. You'll also consider yourself to be very organised, a strong record keeper and someone who is able to meet deadlines. You will be a great communicator, able to adapt your style to your audience and you will be confident in your admin and IT skills, to complete the 'paperwork' element of the role. Job Introduction An exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated social care practitioners and work jointly with partner agencies to support those who are homeless.
