About the role An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Housing to join the Housing Advice and Homelessness Team. We are a team that is continuing to establish and deepen their skills following a restructure of the whole Housing Team. Our Housing Officers are already busy and we continue to see an increase in the number of people approaching the department for advice and assistance as economic factors make it harder for our customers to access an exceptionally competitive housing market. The Vacancy Full time, 37 hours a week. £23,775 progressing up to £25,027 Southampton Young People and Parents provides supported accommodation for up to 20 people between the age of 16 and 21, including care leavers and looked after children. As well as up to 30 young parents, between the age of 16 and 21, with babies or young children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service operates across various locations in Southampton, each is tailored to the needs of the clients and offer various levels of support. You will be working closely with family nurse practitioners, social services and other agencies to support young parents to develop good parenting skills and to keep their children safe. Our aim is to support young people with their individual support needs to enable them to gain life skills to move on to long term, lower or independent supported living. Working a 7 week rolling rota with a mix of early (7am to 3.30pm), mid (9am-50pm) and late (12pm - 8pm) shifts. £23,775 progressing to £25,027 Bournemouth Housing First supports people who are homelessness across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. This is a new service that starts in June, so this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the set up and implementation of this team. Our team will be providing intensive, one to one support to enable clients to maintain their accommodation and achieve their goals.
