The Post
As Building Safety Case Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Council's compliance with fire and health & safety regulations, including Building Safer Futures. You'll work closely with the Building Manager to ensure effective safety management across the Council.
You'll prepare and commission Building Safety Cases, Fire Risk Assessments, and EWS1 certificates. You'll also be required to manage assigned projects, ensuring the agreed outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
You will also uphold the guidelines set out by the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, demonstrating a commitment to improving standards and ensuring the safety and quality of our social housing in compliance with this critical legislation
The Person
You'll hold a degree in Fire Safety Engineering, be a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Fire Engineers or possess an equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
You should also be able to demonstrate substantial experience in preparing Building Safety Cases and Fire Risk Assessments, possessing working knowledge of building regulations and fire safety legislation.
The ability to manage complex projects and ensure compliance with safety standards is essential for success in this role. You'll also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
