Join us as a Building Support Operative (Extra Care) at Thirteen Group!

Role Overview:

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Building Support Operative (Extra Care) tojoin our Building Support Services team.

You'll be joining our team who ensure that the required service standard is being delivered to our customers within our Care and Support multi-occupancy buildings. You'll be part of a 5-week rota, working 4x 9:15 hour weekday shifts each week, and one in five Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with our Service Managers and Control Room Co-ordinators, you'll carry out a range of tasks, such as building safety patrols, fire safety checks and fire alarm testing.
  • Responding to emergency requests across the business as well as alarm activations.
  • General caretaking duties such as mobile bin duties, and minor basic repairs.
  • Work within tight deadlines to meet our legislative and service standards.
  • Always working within health and safety guidelines, you'll report and resolve any issues to enable customers to feel safe and supported within their living environment.
About You:
  • A focus on great customer service and clear communication as you'll be in contact with a wide range of our customers every day.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential as driving is a key part of this role. We'll provide you with a company vehicle to make these journeys. Our main operating area is the Tees Valley, but you'll also be expected to travel across the North East.
  • You might have some experience in carrying out minor repairs within properties.
  • A basic knowledge of fire alarm systems would be great, but not essential.
  • Comfortable using digital devices or be willing to learn. We'll provide you with mobile and hand-held devices as part of your role.
