Join Our Home Ownership Service Team

We're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to support the Royal Borough of Greenwich Right to Buy (RTB) scheme.This role combines technical surveying expertise with meaningful public service, helping residents on their journey to home ownership.

Immediate start preferred.

Your Mission
As our new Building Surveyor, you will:
  • Conduct property inspections and measured surveys following RTB applications
  • Produce professional CAD drawings that meet architectural standards
  • Analyse building conditions and propose solutions for repairs
  • Ensure accurate records across Home Ownership Service (HOS) systems
  • Respond to enquiries and complaints from residents, MPs, and Members with professionalism and empathy
  • Work flexibly across sites, including evenings/weekends for key events
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain high performance and compliance
What You'll Bring
  • Solid surveying experience and practical building knowledge
  • Proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
  • Understanding of housing legislation and RTB procedures
  • A commitment to excellence in customer service and data accuracy
  • Confidence working independently and across teams, with a flexible and proactive attitude
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet organisational targets
