About the role
Reporting to the Voids Contract Manager, you will deliver a full range of professional surveying services within the Voids Service Area.
Babergh and Mid-Suffolk District Councils are going through an exciting period of change, with a new operating model being developed for the Repairs, Maintenance and Voids team within our Housing Directorate.
This is your opportunity to join our new team at inception and to help shape the future of our Housing Repairs and Maintenance Team.
In this role, you will:
We are looking for a professionally qualified Surveyor, with significant experience to join our dedicated team.
Ideally you will have worked within a responsive repairs service or voids team, as you will be responsible for producing clear, detailed specifications of multi-trade works using schedule of rates and managing the programme of work to completion.
You will be confident using IT systems for job management to ensure works are delivered by our Voids Contractor within service level agreements/KPI's and the allocated budget.
You will need to possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable as the point of contact for stakeholders, contractors and customers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, with a positive, solution driven approach. You will need to be someone who puts our residents at the heart of everything you do and will strive to provide excellence of service.
