We have an exciting opportunity to join Sheffield City Council as a Business Support Officer within the Housing & Neighbourhood Service.
As a Business Support Officer for the Housing Fire Safety Team, you will support the service safety across our Council homes, which include a diverse mix of high-rise flats, low risk flats, older persons schemes, maisonettes, and sundry properties.
You will assist in maintaining our focus on property structure and maintenance, fire strategies, building compliance obligations and, customer safety and engagement, in our properties.
You will engage customers in the safe management of their property, as well as working with other stakeholders e.g. internal Local Authorities partners and Fire and Rescue Services.
You'll ensure quality and control measures are in place to ensure a safe environment for us and our customers.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.

- People with commitment to exceptional customer service with experience of managing expectations within challenging timescales.
- Pioneers to support and deliver continual improvement, innovation, and transformational change
- Experience in Fire Safety, in a residential setting desirable
- People with strong IT skills and experience of using a range of systems.
