Job Title: Domestic Abuse Supported Housing Team Manager

Job Location: Gloucester

Salary: £36,000pa plus £750 Car Allowance per year

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: 37 hours per week

GreenSquareAccord deliver domestic abuse services across the Midlands and South West, including 6 accommodation services and a large Leading Lights accredited community service.

About the role

You will be there to provide oversight and management to the Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Places of Safety project.

You will be there to provide excellent line management to the Supported Housing Support Officer and Supported Housing Officer.

You will provide an excellent service to service users and their families.

You must ensure the delivery of high quality holistic services across our Places of Safety accommodation, working with our GDASS (Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service) team to ensure we provide wrap around support for families fleeing domestic abuse.

You need to manage the temporary accommodation that GreenSquareAccord are leasing from registered providers, and any properties allocated from our own stock.

You will be there to work with GDASS, customer accounts, maintenance and other GreenSquareAccord staff as well as external agencies to ensure victims of domestic abuse access and maintain a place of safety in the county.

You will work closely and liaise with local authorities and registered providers to provide places of safety for victims of domestic abuse and to move them on to a permanent housing solution when and where appropriate.

About you

You must have managerial experience.

You need to have an understanding of housing law and have an understanding of welfare benefits and relevant legislation.

You need to have an understanding of the importance of data protection and experience of working with sensitive personal data.

You must have excellent knowledge of domestic abuse legislation.

You need to have an understanding of issues facing those fleeing domestic abuse.

You need to have an understanding of risk management in domestic abuse.

You must be able to deal with a demanding workload and to prioritise effectively whilst maintaining attention to detail.

You need to have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the need to follow policy and procedures.
