Head of ICT

We’re looking for a Head of ICT to join our client.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing ICT operations, driving digital transformation, and ensuring secure and efficient systems for residents and employees.

Key Details:

• Temporary contract
• Hybrid working (TBC)
• Salary: £78,000 per annum

Your Role:

• Lead the ICT strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Manage a £1 million+ ICT budget, delivering value-for-money solutions.
• Develop and implement ICT policies, ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Procure and oversee contracts for software, hardware, and telecommunications.
• Ensure data security, backups, and risk management across all systems.
• Lead digital transformation projects, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption.
• Build strong relationships with external partners, housing organisations, and councils.
• Provide expert advice to the Executive Team on ICT developments and procurement.
• Manage a high-performing ICT team, fostering a culture of excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience leading ICT teams within housing, local government, or similar sectors.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, digital transformation, and risk management.
• Experience managing large ICT budgets and procurement processes.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to drive change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Relevant IT qualifications (e.g., ITIL, Prince2, or equivalent experience).
