Do you want to play a key part in the delivery of the UKs most ambitious council-led housing programme in a generation? Are you interested in sustainable development and place making?
The City of York Councils housing delivery programme is receiving national attention for its commitment to building great new places to live which are inclusive, support healthy lifestyles and wellbeing, and are good for the environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Housing Development Officer to join our team on a one-year fixed-term contract to help deliver our projects.
You will work with professional and design teams including some of the countrys best architects to bring forward new, zero carbon neighbourhoods which meet the needs of current and future generations. Our projects look to provide affordable homes for first time buyers, growing families and those in retirement.
You will join a highly motivated and supportive team and will be able to develop your knowledge and skills in many different aspects of development. You will project-manage small-medium sized housing development projects and provide support on all aspects of the large projects from inception and feasibility through to public engagement and design, planning, procurement, construction and handover.
We dont expect you to be an expert on all aspects of project management or development, but good communication skills, being well organised, and self-motivated are key to the success of our programme. Training and support will be provided.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you - come and join our housing revolution!
