Our accommodation team plays a vital role in creating a secure and welcoming environment for young people with high needs. Now, we're looking for a compassionate and reliable Accommodation Night Worker to join our team in Bury St Edmunds.
Job Role As an Accommodation Night Worker, you'll be the calm and reassuring presence overnight, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents, staff, and premises. Your responsibilities will include:

In accordance with safer recruitment processes many of the roles we recruit for require successful candidates to undertake an appropriate criminal record background check. If an offer of work is accepted, YMCA Trinity Group will facilitate these checks on behalf of our staff and volunteers via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Days and hours- Night shifts-10:00pm -08.00am four days on 4 days off working pattern)
What We Offer
Annual salary is £25,396.80 per annum

Job Role As an Accommodation Night Worker, you'll be the calm and reassuring presence overnight, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents, staff, and premises. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the building and ensuring all areas are clean, secure, and safe.
- Supporting the admittance of residents and staff during night hours.
- Minimising noise and disruption to maintain a peaceful environment.
- Assisting Accommodation Project Workers with any overnight needs.
- Responding appropriately to incidents and supporting residents with complex needs.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience working with young people with complex needs (not necessarily in a housing context).
- The ability to interact effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, particularly during unsociable hours.
- An understanding of current mental health issues and experience managing challenging behaviour.
