Household Support Fund Administrator x 3
Pro rata £24,242 - £27,269 (following successful completion of probation)
Part time 15 hours per week
Fixed term until March 31st 2026
We are currently recruiting for 3 Household Support Fund Administrators to join our team on a fixed term contract until March 2026.
Birmingham's Household Support Fund is a hardship grant provided individual households as part of the government`s Cost of Living support package to eligible households in need. This role will support the co-ordination and accessible delivery of the grant across the Erdington locality.

Birmingham's Household Support Fund is a hardship grant provided individual households as part of the government`s Cost of Living support package to eligible households in need. This role will support the co-ordination and accessible delivery of the grant across the Erdington locality.
As part of this role you will;
- Assist with the administration of the Household Support Fund for Erdington residents. Ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families receive help with essential costs such as food, utilities, and other necessities.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to process applications for the fund fairly and efficiently. The role requires a customer focused approach with a high quality and accurate administrative support service.
- Be instrumental in supporting the fund's administration by completing applications over the telephone with applicants, tracking progress and managing communication with partner organisations.
- Provide comprehensive support to clients and signposting referrals to additional services. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy as clients will often present distressed and/or anxious.
- Have a strong understanding of community resources to be able to signpost to local support.
- 29 days basic annual leave (full time) + Bank Holidays
