We're recruiting for an Income Recovery Officer to join our team based in Basingstoke. This is a full-time permanent role, working 37 hours a week with a minimum of 20% of this to be office based to promote collaboration and team working.

As an income recovery officer, you'll provide a proactive and effective approach to recovering outstanding rent and other charges. You'll work to agreed procedures to have full control over a caseload of accounts and progress them through the rent arrears process. This'll include recording contacts, agreements and referrals, and ensuring that customers are provided with the right support that they need.
You'll gain a good understanding of who our customers are and the support that they may need to sustain their tenancies, so that eviction is always the last resort. You'll develop a good knowledge of benefits and understand how they're paid and managed. And make sure the business and customer impacts are understood as part of the arrears process.
You'll have a good working relationship with various teams such as neighbourhoods and tenancy support. As well as developing connections with external partners and agencies who help us to provide the right level of support to our customers. This includes housing options and homelessness teams to meet the needs of our customers.
You'll bring your wealth of experience in debt recovery and awareness/understanding of the social housing sector. Also, your effective communication and relationship building skills which will help you to succeed in this role.
