Are you passionate about maintaining high quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction? We are looking for a dedicated Area Buildings Manager to oversee the delivery of maintenance, compliance, and cleaning in our Independent Living Communities. In this crucial role, you will ensure the quality and safety of the properties our customers call home. If you have a strong background in building facilities management and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you!

What you will be doing:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of building staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
  • Oversee daily operations, proactively manage risks, and ensure smooth running of all schemes and properties within Independent Living.
  • Ensure all properties meet health and safety standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess minor maintenance and cleaning standards, maintaining high-quality living environments.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and departments, contribute to operational planning, budget setting, and provide effective performance reporting and analysis.
This role will cover St Albans, Luton, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire so being a car owner and driver will be important.

We'd love to meet someone with:
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a strong team.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and guide team members toward achieving maintenance and service goals.
  • An understanding of maintenance, compliance, and cleaning standards and regulations.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards and continually improving service delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective coordination with team members, peers, and external contractors.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • An ability to work collaboratively with others within and outside the team, including Inhouse Maintenance Service and contractors.
  • Flexibility to respond to changing circumstances and to manage and adapt to new situations as they occur.
