We are looking for a dedicated Independent Living Maintenance Officer, who will play a crucial role in delivering a seamless repairs and maintenance service. From handling minor repairs to conducting health and safety checks, your work will ensure that our schemes are safe, comfortable, and compliant for our communities. What you will be doing:
- Carrying out efficient minor repairs, ensuring a high standard is maintained across all sites.
- Conducting regular site inspections will be part of your role, identifying and addressing maintenance needs while involving residents.
- Tracking and escalating repairs using digital systems to meet deadlines.
- Managing contractor visits, maintaining clear communication to minimise disruptions.
- Leading meetings, manage a cleaning team, and provide support to colleagues when needed.
- Working closely with management to keep working practices up to date.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems quickly.
- You should be organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks effectively.
- Leadership experience and the ability to motivate teams to uphold high standards are important.
- Knowledge in property maintenance or health and safety is preferred.
- Comfortable with using digital tools to track and escalate repair issues is essential.
