Independent Living Personal Assistant
Working with other Personal Assistant's to provide daily support for a 25 year old man with autism and a learning disability.
Up to 15 hours a week. Mainly evenings and weekends although a few daytime hours available.
PA would need to:
• Be flexible and supportive
• Help with activities and household tasks
• Help plan and accompany trips out
• Work alongside psychologist to support emotional heath needs
• Support with voluntary work
• Help transfer knowledge already gained into skills
• Encourage independence
• Encourage living well
• Enhance life skills
• Encourage activity to keep well mentally and physically
• Attend occasional meetings with other PA's to ensure care plan is working.
Successful candidate would:
Have or be willing to obtain a current DBS
Have own vehicle with business insurance
Work a trial period of 1 month to ensure good client relationship match
Experience not essential but a willingness to get alongside and understand autism and learning disabilities is.
Pay: £13.22 hr if on payroll or £16 if self employed with relevant insurances
