Our Supported Accommodation service works to create and promote a positive environment for each young person in the independent living scheme.

In this role, you will support young adults who are applying for the right to remain in the UK, helping them to develop positive and effective independent living skills. You will support them in signing accommodation leases, attend solicitors' meetings, integrating into the community and education provisions if applicable. You will help them to source dentists and doctors and introduce them to the International Youth Club.

As a positive role model to the young adults engaged in the independent living scheme, you will be excellent at forming effective relationships with young people to ensure that their emotional and physical needs are met and opportunities for their development are maximised.

With previous experience of support work, you will have the ability to communicate clearly and engage with young adults. Your organisational skills will enable you to plan and prioritise your workload effectively. You will also be required to maintain the homes to a good standard, ensuring all furniture and white goods are clean and in good working order.

Ideally you will have a background in residential care or be experienced in working with children. You will be required to have good levels of literacy and numeracy and hold an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar qualification.

For this role it is essential that you have a driving licence and your own car, due to the occasional need to transport young people.

Additionally, there are a multitude of opportunities for personal and professional development via various training and education routes.
