Intensive Housing Management Night Worker
Salary: £ 26,807.28 - £32,450.88
Contract type: Permanent, full time (42 hours per week)
Location: Matilda House, 2A Rymers Lane, Oxford, OX4 3SE


Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Care and Support Team within asupported housing setting. Covering the night shift you'll be working alongsideone other Intensive Housing Management Night Worker to manage the health andsafety of the building and to safeguard the clients that live here by answeringclients enquiries and providing reactive support to those that are in crisis inthe absence of the main support team.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure that Health & Safety checks are carried out by the team inaccordance with A2Dominion's policies and procedures and that voids are kept toa minimum.
- Ensure safeguarding policies are followed
- Reception duties including answering the telephone, coordinating transportwhen necessary, updating the appointment book and signing in and out visitorsand keys
- Process voids and report/follow up repairs
- Engage with external partners to ensure the best outcome for our residents
- Ensure reporting documents are being completed
- Work closely with the support team and housing officer to address anybreaches of a client's license with the aim of preventing client evictions andfocusing on tenancy sustainment
- Report to the Senior Intensive Housing Management Worker (IHMW) to highlightany concerns regarding the running of the building that compromises the safetyof the building, staff and the residents that live within it
- Providing emotional support in a sensitive and empathetic manner, offeringguidance in accordance with procedures and the boundaries of the job role

More about you

You won't necessarily have experience in this sector, as we recognise thattransferrable skills and experience are just as valuable.

We are specifically looking for candidates with the rightskills and attitudes, who will demonstrate and promote our values of caring bynature, working better together and thinking for tomorrow.

- Basic MS Office skills and willingness to learn newsystems
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritisetasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remaincalm under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative andproblem solving capabilities
- Experience in Homelessness and/or substance misuse and/or mental health ispreferred but not necessary
- Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations to reduceconflict
