We are recruiting a Project Manager at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 7.24 hours per day)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Development Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £41,511 - £44,711 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking a Project Manager to support the Caerphilly Homes Construction Manager to oversee the project management and delivery of live construction projects including our flagship mixed tenure, low carbon development at Oakdale Place and a 45 apartment later living scheme in Risca. During 2025/26 we have a number of new exciting developments to bring forward and need a technically focused, expert project manager to assist. You will form part of a wider project team that includes a quantity surveyor and clerk of works together with a wider consultancy team involving a number of private sector partners.

This role is critical to the successful delivery of the Council's ambition to deliver 1000 new homes by 2033. If you would like to be part of a high performing, passionate team that is committed to delivering outstanding low carbon, affordable homes we'd like to hear from you.

For the role, we ask that you have:
  • A relevant Level 6 (Degree) qualification
  • Knowledge of financial procedures and controls relating to project management and grant conditions.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing contracts
  • A Full UK Category B driving license and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough and beyond to attend meetings with consultants / developers and visit sites.
