This is an exciting time to join the Development and Regeneration team. We are working hard to deliver a significant programme of local regeneration schemes and new build housing projects. We are delivering innovative solutions to help tackle our current housing crisis, deliver mixed use schemes and to deliver local regeneration improvements where they are most needed across the city. We work collaboratively with our local communities, local Councillors and local stakeholders such as the Cardiff & Vale Health Board, and as a team we are passionate about what we do.
About the job
Due to progression within the team, we are now recruiting into a number of Project Officer roles. This is an exciting and varied role, responsible for supporting the delivery of new build council housing projects, mixed use developments and local regeneration projects across Cardiff.
You w ill be involved in all stages of project delivery from consultation, design and planning to implementation, construction management and evaluation. Involvement in funding bids and project finances will also be required.
We believe in investing in our team members and we have a proven track record in enabling progression through the team. With this in mind we will consider supporting officers through relevant external courses (such as construction management) or professional development to complement the in-job training and experience the post gives.
What We Are Looking For From You
You should have demonstrable experience in housing development and/or regeneration, share our passion for delivering high-quality housing development and regeneration projects, making a positive impact within our communities. Have a desire and the personal drive to gain further hands-on experience of project management and development, possess good communication and customer care skills, be well organised and be able to work on your own initiative.
