Working hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with a late night on a Tuesday 12pm-8pm.
About the service...
New Vision Bradford was launched on 1 April 2023. This is a partnership between Waythrough, the Bridge Project, Project 6 and Creative Strength. Under this umbrella, the partnership delivers an adult substance misuse service for the Bradford District. We provides a safe environment for people to develop life skills and confidence, ultimately enabling them to rebuild their lives and become active, contributing members of the Bradford community.
About the role...
You will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality substance misuse treatment provision by supporting service users from point of entry into the service and throughout their treatment and recovery journey. You will play a crucial role acting as the care coordinator for an assigned group of service users. There will also be a requirement to work one late night a week.

Waythrough (Formerly Humankind) launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England - and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it'll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. - Manage an adult caseload of a variety of substance use issues, opiate/non opiate and alcohol
- Devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
- Facilitate and promote individuals' progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
- Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Working collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.
- Scripting.
- Support the evening clinics.
We are looking to appoint a full-time Recovery Coordinator on a permanent basis, under the New Vision Bradford umbrella, based at Unity. In order to be considered for this role you will need:
- 2 years' full time experience of working with people with alcohol and/or drug problems and/or people with complex and multiple needs.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be desirable but not essential.
