About the role
We are currently looking to appoint a Recovery Worker to provide holistic support to adult service users entering the service and to coordinate their treatment including assessment, co-ordination of clinical treatment, PSI delivery and multi-agency working. This role includes working with Chemsex and Party Drug users. Ideally applicants will have some experience within the sector working with similar issues.
As directed by the Team Leader, the Recovery Worker will be an integral member of the dynamic multi agency team developing and delivering

Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England - and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manage a service user caseload and review on going care and treatment liaising closely with the full range of specialist workers within the multi-agency team, including family members and significant others as appropriate.
- Work in partnership and carry out joint key working to enable movement from semi structured to structured psychosocial interventions in order to improve recovery and social capital.
- Support service users to access resources and services to increase their recovery capital to help them achieve their recovery goals and promote family, carer and service user involvement
- To exercise excellent communication skills and therapeutic skills when dealing with service users, carers, and caring agencies
- To work closely and in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team from across the partnership and externally and provide advice and guidance to managers and other colleagues, through attendance at reviews, team meetings and group supervision and via the telephone
- To provide effective coordination of the individual's recovery plan and promote family, carer and service user involvement
- To improve the outcomes for children of service users by reducing the impact of drug and alcohol related harm on family life and to promote positive family involvement in treatment
