Exciting Opportunity: Recovery Coordinator
Are you experienced, skilled, and passionate about making a meaningful difference? We are recruiting for a Recovery Coordinator to engage and assess our service users, ensuring they receive timely, personalised interventions that cater to their unique needs.
With this role you'll be working as part of the Wirral Ways Alcohol Team. The team supports people with their or their loved ones' Alcohol issues. You will be responsible for the caseload management of service users who are affected by alcohol use.
Where: Wirral
Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 per year dependant on experience (based on full time working hours, pro rata for part time hours)
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2026

Responsibilities
Here's what you'll be doing:
As a valued member of our team in Wirral, you'll be taking on a central role with responsibilities including:
- Offering support to service users from the point of entry into the service throughout their treatment journey.
- Conducting screening, assessment, and developing recovery plans with onward referrals.
- Minimising harm related to alcohol use for both the individual and the wider community.
- Advocating access to partnership services.
- Collaborating with each individual to facilitate social (re)integration, empowering them to lead meaningful lives, emphasising recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
To thrive in this role, we're looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of substance misuse issues and has experience in this or a related field.
- Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with proficient IT skills.
- Takes a proactive approach, working well independently with strong time management and ability to prioritise work.
- Holds a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
- Is a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Can successfully manage change while prioritising the needs of those who use our service.
- Actively seeks learning opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills, contributing to the learning and development of others.
- Integrated working experience
- GP shared care work experience would be beneficial
