About the Role

Are you a compassionate, resilient, and motivated individual looking to support people in their recovery journey?

Bakery Court in Ulverston is part of Waythrough's network of recovery-focused services, and we are seeking a Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at this CQC registered 12-hour supported living site.

Bakery Court provides person-centred support to adults living with mental health condition, helping them build the skills and confidence they need to live more independently in the community.

As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to manage their wellbeing, develop life skills, engage in meaningful activities, and work towards their personal goals.

What You'll Do
  • Support residents with daily living tasks (e.g. cooking, cleaning, personal care, routines)
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement
  • Help residents navigate challenges and celebrate their progress
  • Facilitate group sessions and activities
  • Work one-to-one on recovery planning and personal goals
  • Adapt to varied daily tasks, ensuring each day brings new opportunities to make a positive difference
To Succeed in This Role, You'll Need:
  • Experience in supported living, mental health, care, or social work (preferred)
  • A genuine passion for helping others achieve independence
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Willingness to undertake medication training and the Care Certificate
  • Flexibility to work a varied shift pattern including weekends and sleep-ins
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
