Support When It Counts - Become a Support Pracitioner with Carr Gomm in Cowal & Bute
If you're passionate about supporting people to maintain their independence and build a better future, then we currently have a part-time opportunity for you to join our Housing Support TTeam as a Support Practitioner, providing person-centred support to individuals experiencing housing challenges within Cowal & Bute area. The role covers mainly Dunoon and Bute, so the successful candidate must be able to travel between both locations.
Driving license is preferred.

As a Housing Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals facing homelessness, tenancy-related difficulties, and other housing challenges. Your duties will include but not restricted to:
- Regularly review and update support plans to stay relevant and goal focused.
- Use problem-solving and creativity to enhance choices and social connections.
- Build strong professional relationships with families, friends, and agencies.
- Advocate for individuals and connect them to community resources.
- Ensure informed decision-making through human-rights-based processes.
- Maintain accurate records, including risk assessments and reports.
- Provide practical support for tenancy management and independent living.
- Manage time effectively with a flexible, adaptable approach.
