The role

We are looking for a Supported Housing Team Manager to join our Supporting Independence and Care team. Reporting into the Quality Assurance and Housing Manager you'll lead a team of Housing Assistants and Support Workers.

Please note, this is a full time 35 hour permanent role.

You will be based at our Newport Office on the Isle of Wight and you need to hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business use as you will need to travel across the Island.

What you'll be doing:
  • Working within our Supporting Independence and Care team and reporting into the Quality Assurance and Housing Manager you'll lead a team of Housing Assistants and Support Workers.
  • You will manage, motivate, support and inspire your team to deliver a high-quality intensive housing management service, across specialist supported housing properties and deliver a support service to our families pathway residents.
  • You will be the "local link" ensuring residents' needs are met, strategic objectives and team plans are successfully delivered.
  • You will ensure properties are safe and well cared for, coordinating the work of other teams and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our residents are receiving the care and support they require.
  • You will develop and drive a performance culture with a focus on continuous improvement, accountability and personal responsibility.
  • You will ensure contract compliance is continually being met and services are delivered to a high standard. Keeping regular contact with external stakeholders and contract owners.
What you'll need:
  • You need to have experience of intensive housing management, statutory requirements and legislation relevant to the provision of housing, care and support.
  • Have an excellent understanding of housing management law and practice. Evidenced or working towards a professional qualification. Level 5 CIH or Equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate / experience of leading operational housing teams that are delivering a front-line tenancy management service to residents.
  • You will be a strong decision maker who takes ownership and responsibility for the outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of stakeholder management and relationship building.
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and resolve unexpected issues.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations focusing on the needs of the residents and the business.
