<ul><li>£4,500 plus expenses</li><li>Stoke-on-Trent</li><li>Permanent</li></ul>Would you like to join the Board of a dynamic business with a strong social purpose, focussed on providing affordable homes, Building Supportive Communities, Inspiring Hope?&nbsp;&nbsp;Can you bring skills, knowledge, expertise, and a strategic approach to governing to help us achieve our goals?We are seeking to strengthen and expand our skilled Board and with experienced professionals who share our vision and passion for truly putting customers first, and making a lasting difference to lives and communities. &nbsp;A background in the social housing sector is highly desirable, however we will consider experienced NEDs from a range of regulated business sectors, particularly private and commercial. You will be familiar with the new regulatory framework/or be able to quickly understand these challenges, enabling you to effectively govern the organisation, particularly around customer service and accountability to residents.&nbsp;&nbsp;You will be an experienced NED and/or have senior management experience looking for your first NED role.&nbsp;&nbsp;Diversity of thought is especially important around our Board table. We welcome applications particularly from under-represented groups.&nbsp;&nbsp;We are particularly keen to strengthen our Board with the following knowledge, skills and experience:<ul><li>Property / asset management/Strategic Health Safety (Corporate and/or Building Safety) </li><li>Safeguarding</li><li>Finance and Treasury</li><li>IT and Data/Knowledge and Information Management&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;A connection and understanding of social, economic, and the political environment of Stoke on Trent and surrounding regions (eg West Midlands, the North West) is highly desirable, but a willingness to learn and understand &nbsp;the wider context for our core operating and potential growth areas will be welcome.You will bring:<ul><li>Vision and ambition to contribute to &nbsp;an ambitious plan for growth and a dynamic future in a time of both challenge and opportunity</li><li>A genuine commitment to our Corporate Values and organisations culture</li><li>A commitment to the highest quality of governance in challenging regulatory environment, and working Board colleagues and Executive/Senior Teams to drive forward positive change</li><li>A commitment to supporting continuous improvement and providing high quality services</li><li>A genuine commitment to collaboration and co-production, both within and outside of the organisation</li></ul>&nbsp;Who are we?Brighter Futures is are a registered provider of social housing, providing supported accommodation, outreach support.
