Housing Manager

Job Introduction The Housing Options Service is responsible for discharging Bradford Council's statutory duties towards customers in housing need. We are looking for dynamic staff who can work in a busy, front-line environment, with a large team. The role involves working with vulnerable customers, preventing their homelessness and achieving sustainable long term outcomes. We are looking for staff with recent demonstrable practical work experience in a Housing related environment providing advice on prevention of homelessness, housing advice and assistance. It is not essential but advantageous if you have carried out homelessness assessments under S184 (Part VII, HA1996) applying relevant Legislation, Case Law, the Homelessness Code of Guidance 1996 and Homeless Reduction Act 2017. Your education will include at least NVQ Level 4 standard in a relevant discipline such as Housing, Housing Advice, Social Sciences or a recent demonstrable practical work experience in a Housing related environment providing advice on prevention of homelessness, housing advice and assistance. 1 x 18.5 hours per week permanent contract. HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORTATION PARKING SERVICES Parking Services are looking to recruit a part time Processing Officer to complement its existing Processing Team. The successful candidate will form part of a highly motivated and committed team dealing with the appeals to Penalty Charge Notices (parking fines) and the processing of Parking Permits.
