Job Description Independent Living Support Worker - Level 2 - Hub 3 | 9374 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 - £33,699 per annum | Scale G | Countywide Young people are at the heart of our practice at Norfolk County Council. Our Supported Accommodation service works to create and promote a positive environment for each young person in the independent living scheme. In this role, you will support young people, helping them to develop positive and effective independent living skills. You will contribute to making plans to support them and assist with their implementation, attending statutory reviews as required. As a positive role model to the young people engaged in the independent living scheme, you will be excellent at forming effective relationships with young people and their families to ensure that their emotional and physical needs are met and opportunities for their development are maximised. With previous experience of support work, you will have the ability to communicate clearly and engage with young people. Your organisational skills will enable you to plan and prioritise your workload effectively, and your eagerness to learn will develop new skills and learning. You will support the Team Managers, Assistant Team Managers, and Senior Support Workers with some management tasks, such as inducting new staff members and completing relevant paperwork and documents. A full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle are necessary for this post. Ideally you will have a background in Supported Accommodation or be experienced in working with children. You will be required to have good levels of literacy and numeracy and hold an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar qualification.
