Community Engagement Officer

Job Description The Journeys and Places programme is delivering a wide range of projects across Enfield to empower people to make sustainable travel choices and connect with each other to create vibrant spaces and a greener, healthier future. Through projects such as parklets, public art trails, walking and cycling routes, School Streets, town centre improvements and Quieter Neighbourhoods, we are working to address the climate emergency and make spaces for people that are healthy, green and prosperous. Enfield Council are looking for two Community Engagement Managers to spearhead the design and delivery of robust engagement programmes for Journeys and Places projects. We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in designing and delivering community engagement programmes on high profile projects. This is a largely public facing role and requires collaboration with project managers to design and deliver robust communications and community engagement programmes. We are advertising for two roles, one Community Engagement Manager who will oversee engagement for Journeys projects and one Community Engagement Manager who will oversee engagement for Places projects. The successful candidates will be an experienced facilitator and communicator with skills in best practice community engagement and in working with a multitude of senior stakeholders. They will be strong project managers with the ability to think strategically as well as deliver projects with a high attention to detail. They will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience in the evaluation and reporting on engagement findings data. This role requires a high level of initiative in order to deliver timely, effective and creative engagement with the community in Enfield.
