Team Manager - Homelessness Prevention Service

The Warwickshire Separated Children and Leaving Care Team is based in Warwick at Myton Park. We are a countywide service offering provision up to the age of 25. The Separated Children Team work with children aged 0-25 working to enable young people to settle and manage their asylum status. This role will specifically work with migrant children and young people to reduce homelessness and enable planned approaches through working with local district and borough housing departments and other services. Housing Management Coordinator Cheltenham and Gloucester Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), Monday to Friday £25,838 to £26,645 per annum and great benefits including Health Cash Plan Home, a place where you belong This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team here in Cheltenham and Gloucester. As our Housing and Property Guru, you'll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you'll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation! Typical day as a Housing Management Coordinator <ul><li>Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you'll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.</li><li>Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.</li><li>Where there is a need, you'll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.</li><li>Getting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you'll turn around vacant or void rooms / bedsits and flats within set timescales.</li><li>Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.</li></ul>Fancy going home each day knowing that you have helped change our customers lives for the better? You bring <ul><li>Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties</li><li>Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.</li><li>Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues</li><li>The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.</li><li>A "can do" positive attitude, you're proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.</li><li>Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners</li></ul>Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role.
