We are a youth-focused registered provider of social housing, currently providing 30 bedspaces with ambitions to create more. This role is focused on landlord services and compliance, particularly with regard to voids, rent / service charge collection, the pro-active resolution of behavioural / engagement issues and the processing of complaints. We currently provide youth support coaching via a separately managed programme; oversight of this does not currently form part of the Accommodation Manager role. As a part of our management team, you will be involved in dealing with staffing, client or other issues across the wider organisation as they arise, and you will be part of our On Call rota. You will be able to develop a strong understanding of our various services and users, and particularly the issues arising in an accommodation setting for young people. We have a Band 5 Homeless Health Housing Coordinator post within the team that we are recruiting to as we are awaiting news as to whether our team will be funded beyond its initial 3 year term. The Homeless Health team is multi-disciplinary and operates a reactive and fast- moving service. It aims to provide enhanced inpatient care and ensure safe, appropriate, and sustainable hospital discharges that meet the needs of individual homeless patients. Through this approach, the team also aims to reduce delayed and premature discharges, and reduce unscheduled admissions, repeat admissions and A&amp;E attendances. You will receive specialist support from a multi disciplinary network of partners and stakeholders and supervision from within the Imperial Homeless Health team. Main duties of the job The post holder will work with patients on our wards, in Accident and Emergency (A&amp;E) and may need to outreach into the community to support patients post discharge for follow ups. The post holder will be expected to work on site Monday to Friday. The post holder will undertake detailed housing assessments that will help prove a patient's homelessness, eligibility, priority for housing and established local connection. The post holder will escort patients to Housing Options departments to provide advocacy as necessary. The post holder will build relationships and liaise with Local Authorities Housing departments to achieve the best results for the patients.
