Independent Living Officer (Extra Care) £27,403.80 p.a. (37 hours) Community Based, in Preston What will you be doing in this role? As an Independent Living Officer (ILO) you will be based at one of our modern, purpose-built extra care sites in Preston but will also be required to work in the community and at our customers' homes. You'll be responsible for delivering housing management support functions to older people living in our extra care settings. This role supports a holistic approach to independent living and you'll work closely with customers to ensure they have the best quality of life and are able to stay in their homes for as long as they can, through the provision of a service which is centred around the person and their wellbeing. The Role Our Independent Living Advisors provide high quality information, advice and support to both referring Health &amp; Social Care professionals and vulnerable eligible customers who are considering participating in Self Directed Support Schemes, Independent Living Schemes, Personal Health Budgets and self-funded/private clients, over a designated area. We are looking for individuals with a background in social care who can support adults with disabilities to live independently in their local communities. This is a remote working position for 21.75 hours a week, however, you need to be based in the Cheshire East area due to the requirement to travel for community engagement.
