This innovative team will work with the local care and housing providers, alongside the council's housing, strategic commissioners and adult social care teams who support people with learning disabilities, autism, neurodivergence and mental ill health to oversee and manage delivery of innovative housing solutions to help people find them a home for life, that can maximise their independence and enable them to live great lives. This new team will be responsible for the delivery of accommodation solutions for people with statutory care and accommodation needs. They will support social care, commissioning, and health colleagues to develop innovative housing solutions to better meet the accommodation needs of people with statutory care needs, or those at risk of admission or unable to be discharged from a healthcare setting due to a housing need. The team will project manage delivery plans for 'properties' once care providers have been commissioned overseeing &amp; supporting providers to ensure that property developments are feasible and monitoring progress against plan; helping to navigate through councils' requirements - acting as point of contact for any questions from providers and supporting projects through housing benefits; planning; environmental assessments etc. liaising between council teams and navigating internal and external management structures to ensure that projects are delivered smoothly. The funding for this role was secured by Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as a pilot opportunity to ensure that assessments are completed under the Homelessness Reduction Act. Housing Support Officer

The Strategic Housing Team are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to join the Homeless Relief Team as a Senior Homeless Relief Officer. This position is for 1 permanent full time officer, working 37 hours per week over a Monday - Friday working pattern. The team are currently working on a hybrid basis, 50/50 split between the office and remote working. The team work from both the Macclesfield and Crewe offices, the ability to travel within the borough is essential. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a rare opportunity to join at a senior officer position, working within an experienced &amp; evolving team. We are looking for an applicant who possesses a strong working knowledge of the Homeless Legislation, preferably an applicant who has worked within a local authority Housing Options team previously or within a similar role and can demonstrate a transferrable skills set. We focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system, ensuring that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need along with a high standard of accommodation. Housing Officer

This is a part-time (18.5 Hours per week) business support role based within the Housing Options Team, it is a small team of two officers who will be responsible for raising purchase order numbers, processing payments, chasing payment and cross referencing financial reports to reconcile accounts. Applicants will be required to ensure compliance with financial policies. procedures and regulatory requirements. They will also have an eye for service improvements and efficiencies to ensure best value for money is attained. As a small team the officers must be able to build rapport, and good communications for good quality hand over as both officers will be part time and full service commitment must be maintained for holiday cover. About the job This is a unique opportunity to join an experienced team, there will be a supportive senior business support officer in post already who will be able to provide guidance and assurance for the use of internal systems. Initially there will be a requirement to attend the Crewe office but in time the role will become primarily homebased with the requirement to attend the office no more than 50% of the time. The hours and days worked can be flexible around the applicant, although the preference would be someone who could work short days every day of the week. Business Support Officer - Housing

We are looking for someone who is approachable and warm and able to connect with the young adults we support at our mental health service in South Manchester. This person will support service users to develop their skills and knowledge so that they can go on to live more independently in the community. This individual will also support the young people at the service to sustain their tenancies through encouraging them to develop their independent living skills and helping them to navigate any tenancy related issues. The successful candidate will have the ability to identify areas that a service user needs support with, work with them to devise an individual support plan for their placement, and support the young person to implement this plan. This person will be comfortable working collaboratively and creatively with tenants. They will also be non-judgemental, able to relate to the issues that young people face, have a laid back approach, be a good listener, be able to use their initiative, and be comfortable lone working and alongside others. Young People's Housing Support Worker

Location: Chester inc Ellesmere Port Salary: £26,250.00 Working hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (typical working hours Mon - Fri 08:00 - 18:00. You will be required to be on call rota on average every 10 weeks) You are required to have a valid UK driving licence for this role. You will be provided with a company car. On behalf of the Home Office, Serco manages the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) for the North West of England. We focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system, ensuring that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need along with a high standard of accommodation. Our Housing Officers (HO's) are responsible for ensuring compliance with the AASC Contract, company policies, processes, and procedures through their liaison with Staff, Service Users, Landlords, External Agencies and Partners. You will be covering multiple areas in the North West region Inc Chester &amp; Ellesmere Port. Ensuring that all properties within the allocated portfolio are safe, habitable, fit for purpose and fully equipped in accordance with AASC Standards. There is a requirement to operate an Emergency On-Call system outside of normal working hours amongst all Housing Officers on a rota basis. This role is suited to someone with a solid work history dealing with people face to face and enjoys a demanding workload where you get to utilise your organisations skills whilst remaining calm under pressure and supporting our service users. You will be expected to travel between properties in the Chester &amp; Elesmere Port areas so you must hold a valid UK drivers' licence and be enthusiastic about taking on a range of accountabilities such as: <ul> <li>Complete a Monthly Inspection of all Properties within the allocated portfolio in accordance with the standard defined within the AASC Contract and property standards guide.</li> <li>Manage on-boarding and withdrawal of properties within allocated portfolio in accordance with the Housing Officer Local Operating Procedures (LOP).</li> <li>Report all property faults identified, correctly categorising them for appropriate response.</li> <li>Complete all minor Property repairs within the scope enabled by training, experience and the toolkit and spares provided.</li> <li>Administration of operational cash to enable the completion of tasks such as topping up of utility meters &amp; emergency cash payments.</li> <li>Respond to customer complaints</li></ul>What you'll need to do the role Due to the nature of the role, Criminal Record Bureau checks are required (all offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office). Whilst experience in a previous property related role is beneficial, this isn't a requirement, more importantly is your desire and enthusiasm to make a difference. You will be expected to take on a variety of tasks to support our service users and some may be challenging - dealing with anti-social behaviours, medical needs, management of child safeguarding needs etc. You will have strong communication skills and be confident managing conflict.
