You'll help bring joy, connection, and creativity into people's lives through a wide range of activities, such as: <ul> <li>Crafts and creative sessions - from card-making to seasonal decorations</li> <li>Board games and puzzles - sparking fun and friendly competition</li> <li>Reminiscence sessions - sharing stories and memories over tea and biscuits</li> <li>Bingo and quizzes - always a favourite!</li> <li>Singing and music appreciation - whether it's a singalong or just enjoying the classics</li> <li>Tea, coffee and chat - sometimes the best activity is simply good conversation</li></ul>Previous experience of working with vulnerable people is desirable, as well as a good understanding of the needs of older people in general, but we'll provide all of the training you need. If you're applying to volunteer somewhere further away from home, you will need your own form of transport, but travel expenses will be provided.
