Roles and Responsibilities : How the Expected Outcomes are Achieved <ul><li>Produce strategic/operational L&amp;D plans with HoHR to link L&amp;D activities to business outcomes.</li><li>Provide advice and guidance on all L&amp;D initiatives, activities, plans to line managers and employees</li><li>Monitor and review each business L&amp;D budget and produce regular reports on costs/spend</li><li>Complete all Learning and Development related administration e.g. training authorisation forms, producing and tracking of Learning and Development budget.</li><li>Manage and coordinate the Training Email Inbox and as required respond to escalated requests in an efficient and timely manner e.g. Booking requests, certificate requests and provision of information to clients.</li><li>Manage the tracking of expiry dates of mandatory training and competencies (as per specific job description or determined in the competency/ skills matrix) and booking refreshers as required. Update new certificates and refresher certificates as required.</li><li>Provide advice and guidance in relation to employees and managers queries in regard to the available training and development initiatives available, obtaining course information and pricing as required.</li><li>Review training suppliers and ensure relevant documentation is sent to Supplier Approval.</li><li>Build relationships with training and development suppliers to ensure consistent qualitative services.</li><li>Arrange regular meetings with HoHR and business managers to schedule training dates and discuss training priorities and advise accordingly.</li><li>Ensure employees and line managers are aware of the correct templates and documents to facilitate the creation of development plans.</li><li>Create and deliver Apprenticeship and Graduate development schemes</li><li>Work with line managers and employees to ensure Performance Reviews are successfully conducted and that agreed actions and commitments are documented and followed up.</li><li>Have oversight all probation and annual performance reviews and record actions as required.</li><li>Ensure training evaluation forms are completed and take remedial actions where required.</li><li>Assist the HSQE Department where required in respect of enabling the RJ Power Brands to maintain their accreditations - eg, providing information and documentation for PQQ's and attending audits as necessary.</li><li>Assist the HR team as required for completion of general HR tasks</li><li>Produce monthly/annual/ad hoc reports for HoHR to present to Senior Management Meetings.</li><li>Research, recommend and organise the booking of non-mandatory training which has been agreed through development reviews or resulting from new client requirements/ legislation changes or industry developments.</li><li>Contribute to the design and implementation of company bespoke training initiatives including creation of training material, training sessions and associated assessment.</li><li>Lead on all associated activities that are required when engaging Apprentices or Graduates e.g. formal reviews.</li><li>Support Head of HR with IIP accreditation and other business initiatives.</li></ul>Requirements for the Role <ul><li>Has strong administration skills and is able to work to training expiry related deadlines to ensure continuity for the business</li><li>Strong Microsoft Office Skills, in particular Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Sharepoint</li><li>Strategic thinker able to link L&amp;D activities to business outcomes</li><li>Excellent organisational and communication skills</li><li>CITP Certificate in Training Practice or equivalent</li><li>Experience of producing internal and external communications for training engagement purposes</li><li>Has knowledge and experience of training and competency requirements associated with the engineering industry</li><li>Is confident and able to articulate key and accurate information clearly to people at all levels within the organisation</li><li>Self-motivation and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team</li><li>Is dedicated to continuous personal development and keeping up to date with current legislation and best practice.</li><li>Able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy</li><li>Previous experience of working within an engineering business.</li><li>Has knowledge of and experience of booking key training for an engineering business e.g. all engineering certifications, ECS, First Aid, Manual handling and other health and safety training</li></ul>Benefits - 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays - After 2 years' continuous service, 1 extra day's leave per year, up to a maximum of 5 years - Long-service awards - Training and development opportunities - Pension scheme - Cycle to Work Scheme - Optical eye care vouchers - Death in service - Healthcare - Birthday day-off* * Enhanced benefits after successful probation
