The role of the Retirement Housing Officer is to deliver Retirement Housing Services to a designated complex. The Retirement Housing Officer provides a range of welfare, monitoring and retirement housing assistance to tenants. The post is committed to promoting and assisting individuals to maintain their independence. The Retirement Housing Officer delivers advice and assistance to sustain independent living solutions to a designated complex / group of tenants and responds to emergency situations. You will find more information about the job and the type of person we are looking for' The Person It is essential that the individual has moderate experience of working with Older People or service users with Specific Needs. You will have the ability to deal with crisis situations and be able to demonstrate an ability to work on his/her own initiative. Have a positive attitude to service users.Possess good literacy and numeracy skills and IT skills - have the ability to deal with e-mails. Be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skillsandbe able to communicate with a range of internal/external partner agencies. The normal working week is 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday. A requirement of this post is to work on public holidays. Retirement Housing Coordinator Skills and Experience: You should be self-motivated and capable of working on your own initiative as you will play a key role in the lives of our tenants, promoting and supporting them to achieve independent living.
