You'll work to agreed procedures to have full control over a caseload of accounts and progress them through the rent arrears process. This'll include recording contacts, agreements and referrals, and ensuring that customers are provided with the right support that they need. You'll gain a good understanding of who our customers are and the support that they may need to sustain their tenancies, so that eviction is always the last resort. You'll develop a good knowledge of benefits and understand how they're paid and managed. And make sure the business and customer impacts are understood as part of the arrears process. You'll have a good working relationship with various teams such as neighbourhoods and tenancy support. As well as developing connections with external partners and agencies who help us to provide the right level of support to our customers. This includes housing options and homelessness teams to meet the needs of our customers. You'll bring your wealth of experience in debt recovery and will have experience working in a customer centred environment. You'll also have an awareness/understanding of the social housing sector. You'll have effective communication and relationship building skills which will help you to succeed in this role when working with internal and external stakeholders. Homeless Recovery Worker

Homeless Recovery Worker (Young People)

The Vacancy FULL TIME - 37hrs Portsmouth Core Homelessness provides support to up to 62 adults, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This service operates across three locations, each is tailored to the needs of the clients and offer various levels of support. Our aim is to support clients with their individual needs to enable them to gain the life skills to move on to lower or independent supported living. JOB PURPOSE To lead on the case management of clients and be part of a team that supports them in keeping them safe and helping them achieve their goals.
