Broom Lane has 10 Accommodation Support Workers. Etrop Grange is Manchester City Council's rough sleeper accommodation, taking residents straight off the street. The 69 bed accommodation is fast paced with residents generally staying for up to 28 days as staff support clients transition to coming indoors and then look to move them on to other accommodation. As with Broom Lane, the HLO will monitor, train and support staff to do this work, as well as assisting the Team Leader with the efficient running of the hostel to Manchester City Council aims and objectives. Etrop has 14 Accommodation Support Workers and a cook. Both roles are highly rewarding, helping to manage motivated teams to achieve strong results for some of Manchester's most underprivileged people. Job Description Director of Homelessness and Supported Housing London Borough of Enfield London Councils' analysis shows that boroughs are expected to spend over £900m in total on homelessness in 2024-25 - an overspend of at least £330m (or 60%) and an increase of over 40% compared to 2023-24. Enfield faces some of the most acute housing challenges in London as a borough with significant pockets of deprivation, rapidly rising rents, and a shortage of genuinely affordable homes. The increase in homelessness and the ability to secure affordable accommodation in London has led to a crisis. Over the last two years we have made great strides in reducing use of hotels for temporary accommodation, however, we must continue to explore more innovative long-term solutions to achieve a sustained impact.
