We are looking to appoint a Homelessness Prevention Officer to join our Young People's Pathway Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people aged 16-25 who are at risk of homelessness or homeless in North Yorkshire. Based within the Housing Options team the post holder will be required to work alongside colleagues in Children and Families Service, Adults Social Care and a variety of external agencies all of whom support the Young People of North Yorkshire. The post holder will work with young people and their carers to prevent homelessness through timely assessment and appropriate intervention, including mediation. The role is a hybrid one that provides linkage between housing and children's social care and the post holder will receive training in this role. The post holder will work closely with Housing Options Officers where there are statutory duties to the young people around accommodation and Children's services when young people are aged 16 and 17 or leaving care. The Vacancy FULL TIME - 37hrs 5 week rolling rota - including Earlies, Lates and Weekends To lead on the case management of clients and be part of a team that supports them in keeping them safe and helping them achieve their goals. To provide people with homes and specialist support so they feel more valued and secure, and ready to take the next steps.
