Homeless Support Worker

Associate Psychologist - NHSE Homeless Sector Project The Clinical Psychology programme team is looking to employ a Clinical Associate, from February 2026 until September 2027. During this period, you will be contracted to work 900 hours (working pattern to be agreed in discussion with the research team) to support the development of our work within the homeless sector. With support from South-East NHS England, the Surrey PsychD programme has been working on an innovative project over the past two years to develop homelessness placements for trainees, and to embed housing and homelessness as a priority agenda within the PsychD programme. The project seeks to expand the psychological workforce within the homelessness sector, and to generate ways of working between the third sector and the NHS. Building on the success of the project to date, we are now seeking an Associate with experience of working in the homelessness sector, or a similar field, to support the continued development of these placements and the longevity of the project. This post will form a crucial role in building strategic relationships with local third sector organisations across Surrey and Sussex, and with our partner NHS Trusts' housing initiatives. The post holder will be expected to develop and coordinate trainee placements, generate new ways to assess trainee competencies within these organisations, and support trainees undertaking these roles. There will also be a requirement to support supervisors in the region, and to work with organisational leads to provide overall structure to the placements. This is an exciting time to join the project team, with opportunities for project management, leadership, stakeholder engagement and national dissemination. Research Assistant Working Collaboratively with the Homeless Sector The clinical psychology programme team is looking to employ a full time Research Assistant from March 2026 to September 2027 to support the development of our work within the Homeless sector. This post is crucial to the programme being able to build the evidence of the impact of providing training placements for clinical psychologists within the sector. Until very recently there was limited training opportunities to work in this sector owing to the barriers of supervision and placement expectations. Over the last two year we have piloted a new approach which NHSE have supported. They have provided further financial commitment for to enable us to extend the project and explore how best to evaluate the direct and indirect benefits of the project. This post would particularly suit those with an aspiration to become a clinical psychologist and will provide an opportunity to work with a team of applied psychologists, homeless sector partners as well as trainees who respect and value one another, are advocates for lived experience, lifelong learning, and who embrace change. Homelessness Performance and Projects Team Leader

The Warwickshire Separated Children and Leaving Care Team is based in Warwick at Myton Park. We are a countywide service offering provision up to the age of 25. The Leaving Care team work with care experienced young people, aged 16-25. Homeless Prevention Officer

Job description Permanent, 37 hours per week (Job share welcome) Are you passionate about housing and homelessness issues? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative effort focussed on reducing homelessness in Bristol. We are looking for an experienced Commissioner or Project Manager who can deliver strategic service improvements which significantly increase the availability of move on accommodation for people who are homeless and the supply of cost effective, high standard Temporary Accommodation. We are looking for a motivated individual with strategic service improvement experience and ability to identify and project manage the delivery of a range of additional move on accommodation to help reduce homelessness in Bristol. You will work closely with other teams within Housing Options, partner organisations working with homeless households and people sleeping rough, and a wide group of other agencies involved in developing affordable accommodation options. Previous experience working in homelessness or affordable housing delivery services alongside good communication, negotiation and good IT skills are key for this role. You will also need to be able to work flexibly, manage time effectively and co-ordinate a range of interventions to ensure work objectives and deadlines are met. Why Bristol City Council? In this role you will provide street outreach, engagement activities, crisis intervention, clinical assessment. You will work closely with other team members, service providers and local homeless service providers in an effort to connect individuals to treatment, housing and other resources. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Perform outreach and engagement activities to identify homeless individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use needs that are living in public places, drop in centers, meal sites and shelters.</li><li>Provide clinical services such as crisis intervention and counseling, as well as concrete services such as providing warm clothing, blankets, and food to reduce risk of harm on the streets.</li><li>Encourage use of housing resources, meal sites, shelters and other services/ entitlements, facilitating linkage. .</li><li>Maintain a thorough, current knowledge of local public and private resources including housing, residential programs, and other community organizations.
