We're now looking for a Housing Officer / Customer Partner to join our Homes team within the Damp, Mould and Disrepair team on an initial 6 month FTC. This role will provide an exceptional customer service, putting customers at the heart of everything you do. You will be working with colleagues within our Damp, Mould and Disrepair team, ensuring we are doing everything possible to complete repairs, improvements and inspections in our properties. With a compassionate approach, you'll be responsive to the changing customer needs and following through their repairs until completion. You will have experience in housing management, customer experience and disrepair including an existing knowledge of pre court protocol. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Housing or Community Development specialist to bring their passion, skills, and energy to help manage a national model whilst having connections to the locality. Job Title: Housing Officer Head Office Location: Brindley Place, Birmingham Job Location: Brindley Place and Agile working Salary: £33,400 - £41,800 + £750 Car allowance Contract type: Permanent Working hours: 37 hours per week About the role We are recruiting for a permanent Housing Officer to cover areas in the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Solihull. In this role, you will help GreenSquareAccord deliver excellent customer service by meeting a range of housing needs across different types of tenures. You will work both independently and as part of a team to proactively provide a high-quality housing management service, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and value for money. Your responsibilities will include managing complex tenancy issues, such as property condition concerns and cases of anti-social behaviour, as well as handling estate matters including health and safety. You will also support new and existing customers by giving them the information they need to manage and sustain their tenancy. As one of the largest landlords with a retained housing stock, we deliver a range of services across the city and work in partnership with our communities to provide well managed homes and neighbourhoods. This Housing Officer role will be working in the Central and North parts of the city, reporting to the Housing Manager. You will need to be flexible to respond to demand across the entire area when called upon. This position is responsible for supervising Neighbourhood Visiting Officers on a daily basis, responding to emergency situations when they arise. You will be required to supervise staff which will include Case Reviews, Managing Performance, setting targets/priorities, One to One's, Appraisals, Monitor Sickness, Return to Work Interviews, Risk Assessments, Attendance, Annual Leave, Health and Safety etc. You will be required to help identify training needs for those staff you manage/supervise, in partnership with your supervisor/manager, develop strategies to enable you to meet those needs, in line with the objectives of the organisation. The successful applicant will also be required to deal with emergency situations that arise such water leaks in Tower Blocks, Gas Forced Entries and Safe and Well Checks as necessary. Relevant experience in dealing with issues relating to Housing and problem-solving skills. The ability to communicate with our various stakeholders and hold partners to account. There is a need to effectively tackle concerns raised by tenants in order to seek the best possible solution.
