Job Description Would you like to join our team as an Independent Living Advisor and help us to deliver an excellent service for our residents? This is a great opportunity for anyone who is a customer-focused team player. Reporting to the Independent Living Manager, you will be responsible for providing an intensive housing management service to our customers. This will include developing successful relationships, assisting prospective customers to view properties and settle into their accommodation, assisting in tenancy management matters and ensuring customers understand their rights and responsibilities per their tenancy agreement. The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday, and will be working across our different schemes in Crewe and the surrounding areas. You will need to hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle. Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Accessible service: You will assist customers in accessing housing benefit assistance or financial advice to pay rent/service charges.</li> <li>Promoting independence: You willcomplete referrals for assistive technology, aids and adaptations which will help to maintain customer independence.</li> <li>Health &amp; Safety compliance: You will carry out periodic site inspections and tests to ensure the scheme is fully operational and Health and Safety compliant, as well as monitoring the quality of contractors, such as window cleaning and grounds maintenance.</li> <li>Stakeholder engagement: You will develop and maintain good working relationships with other colleagues across Guinness to ensure a seamless service is delivered to our customers around the general management, maintenance and security of the scheme.</li></ul>Role Criteria: Essential: <ul> <li>Previous experience of working in an advisory role supporting the elderly and vulnerable with a proven ability to foster a spirit of co-operation and a sense of independence within this group.</li> <li>Demonstrable commitment to Equality and Diversity.</li> <li>Ability to adapt communication style to suit individual needs or when explaining technical information.</li> <li>Previous experience in carrying out administrative work including numeracy work.</li> <li>Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.</li> <li>Good verbal and written communication.</li> <li>Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.</li> <li>Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.</li></ul>If you're interested in joining us and would like to apply for this role, please review the role profile to view all of the key responsibilities and to ensure you meet the essential criteria. Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week Full time Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 Dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours Responsibilities About the Role: <ul><li>Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact with our service throughout their treatment and recovery journey.</li><li>Implement tailored interventions aimed at reducing the harm caused by opiate use, either through group sessions or one-on-one engagement.</li><li>Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-focused detoxification plan, including pre-detox preparation and post-care support.</li><li>Collaborate with other organisations and the community to enhance the recovery resources available to service users by referring them to mutual aid groups and other networks.</li><li>Advocate for the involvement of family members, service users, and the community.</li><li>Serve as a voice for service users in accessing partnership services.</li><li>Work closely with service users to facilitate their social (re)integration, enabling them to lead fulfilling and purpose-driven lives.
