Where does the role fit into Pobl? Ty Parc sits within Pobl's Support division providing supported accommodation to a range of individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness and have varying needs, such as, mental health issues, substance misuse issues and learning difficulties. The purpose of the service is to support customers to develop independent living skills to enable them to move onto independent sustainable accommodation. What's Great About the Role? The role will be varied and involve managing a team of colleagues to deliver a quality housing support service to vulnerable people. You will manage a team of support staff including, Lead Project Workers, Project Workers, Scheme Support Officers and Accommodation Co Ordinator's. You will inspire, challenge and manage your team to improve performance and outcomes for people who use our services. You will also be responsible for staff's wellbeing, coaching, mentoring and supervision as well as enable the people who access our services to lead successful and independent lives. You will also: <ul><li>Oversee the running of the service including health and safety, on-going maintenance and neighbour relationships. </li><li>Be responsible for the annual budget and monitoring the service's income </li><li>To work in conjunction with HR to manage all relevant HR procedures as and when required such as sickness, absence, disciplinary, contractual etc. </li><li>To take responsibility of the recruitment, selection, interviewing and induction of all staff, in line with Pobl Group's values. </li><li>Ensure that advice is given on welfare rights, permanent housing options and other associated information according to the needs and wishes of the clients. </li><li>Ensure that clients receive resettlement advice as and when appropriate to address their move-on needs. </li><li>Monitor the service and produce and amend procedures as appropriate </li><li>Build relationships and liaise with local neighbourhoods, businesses, commissioners, and council </li></ul>Who are we looking for? You will have had previous experience in a support environment and have a good understanding of leadership and management. About The Service An exciting opportunity has arisen for committed individuals to work with the Housing Options service to help clients under threat of becoming homeless. The key objective will be to prevent homelessness and to support both individuals and families to secure accommodation. About the job In this role, you will:<ul> <li>Work with private sector landlords and letting agents to build a network of working relationships.</li> <li>Provide support to prevent customers becoming homeless, and help customers secure settled accommodation who are already living in temporary accommodation.</li> <li>Find appropriate permanent accommodation for customers, with a focus on securing private rented accommodation.</li> <li>Assess customers support needs in a holistic manner and refer to appropriate agencies.</li> </ul>What We Are Looking For From You The post holder will need to have team working skills, the ability to produce innovative solutions and be forward thinking to help develop the service. The ability to liaise well with landlords and third party organisations to secure private sector accommodation will also be of benefit. The post holder will be required to provide excellent outcomes for vulnerable clients, and high quality customer service. About the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to work with the Housing Options Service. The key objective will be to provide support to the Housing Options Service who provide help to clients who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The post holder will be required to undertake a variety of jobs within the service including assisting the role of the Housing Officers by providing advice and assistance at first point of contact, with a view to progressing homeless assistance to vulnerable clients. This will include processing homeless applications, providing advice and assistance, answering queries, and providing homeless administrative support to the role of the Housing Officer.
