The post holder also has landlord responsibilities and is a premises manager for the site, carrying out health and safety related duties, including those which form part of the fire safety regulations. 37 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual to help clients at risk of homelessness or living in unsuitable accommodation. We are seeking front line Housing Solutions Advisors to join a team that makes a difference and transforms lives. The primary role of the Housing Solutions Advisor is to undertake homeless assessments and process applications to the Authority's Common Housing Register. The key objective to prevent homelessness by producing innovative solutions to clients remaining in the home or finding alternative accommodation. An effective Housing Solutions Advisor will have experience of managing complex and detailed casework. The successful candidate will have experience of detailed homelessness prevention casework as well as homelessness legislation, and making enquiries and legal decisions in line with the statutory duties of a local authority. Working as part of a busy team you will need to work well under pressure and on your own initiative as you will build and manage your own caseload to Bridgend's service standards. To succeed in this role you will be a good problem solver who is able to work assertively but sensitively and also be a good team player. The successful candidate will be able to plan and prioritise work effectively to contribute towards the delivery of a high quality housing service. You must be able to work collaboratively as you will be working with partner agencies in preventing homelessness and reducing the reliance on temporary accommodation. You must be adaptable and be able to react effectively to changing circumstances. Community Engagement Officer

The Vacancy Platfform operate a supported housing project in partnership with Coastal Housing Association and is offering 5 self-contained flats and a staff office. The communal area comprises a kitchen, toilet, laundry room and back garden. We are looking for flexible passionate individuals from all kinds of different backgrounds and ethnic minorities to provide housing related support to people over the age of 18 who have experienced poor wellbeing and mental health, homelessness and other multitude needs and who require a degree of support to live independently. The project acts as a stepping stone from e.g., emergency accommodation like Bed and Breakfast, and moves in due course towards the person becoming ready to move-on having gained the skills, knowledge, experience, and confidence to live in permanent independent accommodation with a reduced risk of future homelessness. The post holder will be required to work appropriate shift patterns on a weekly basis including weekends and evenings on a 4 weekly rolling rota.
