Housing Officer Paignton - covering Torbay £32,887 - £34,617 per year plus £600 car allowance 37.5 hours per week We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join our Housing Operations team. As a Housing Officer you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality housing management service that meets the identified needs of customers and the wider community. The role will involve visiting properties across the region and working with colleagues across different service areas to address a number of issues which could pose risks to the welfare of our residents and the condition of our properties. These include repairs, property neglect, sublet and abandoned properties, hoarding and anti-social behaviour. The role of Housing Officer will include: <ul> <li>Effective management of anti-social behaviour cases</li> <li>Collaboration with colleagues in Property Services and Lettings to ensure the effective allocation of void properties</li> <li>Managing tenant expectations about repairs and escalating any property maintenance issues affecting tenant welfare via appropriate channels</li> <li>Managing complaints about service delivery</li> <li>Working with colleagues in other service areas to help the organisation meet its compliance obligations (fire safety, water hygiene, gas safety and data protection)</li> <li>Providing general advice on all aspects of tenancy to enable sustainability</li> <li>Working with a range of external agencies to resolve a range of issues affecting tenant welfare including domestic abuse, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding)</li> <li>Working with administrative colleagues to complete a range of tenancy management process including tenancy conversions, permissions, mutual exchanges, successions and service charges</li> <li>Enforcement of tenancy breaches</li></ul>Skills and experiences: <ul> <li>Recent experience undertaking a similar role and a passion for supporting tenancy sustainment and working with vulnerable people</li> <li>Proven experience of delivering high quality tenancy and customer service</li> <li>Excellent skills in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions ideally with experience of this in relation to anti-social behaviour</li> <li>Excellent communication skills both verbal and written</li> <li>Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice</li> <li>An understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook is essential and knowledge of SAP, ReACT and Radar would be advantageous</li> <li>Travel will be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential</li></ul>Why work for us? Housing Officer

Salary: £34,000 per annum pro rata Hours: 37.5 hours per week Location: Hybrid working, with attendance at DAA sites and community events as required The Role We have a new and exciting opportunity for an organised and engaging person to join DAA. The role of Community Engagement Officer focuses on promoting and coordinating a programme of activities that support our prevention aims and improve health outcomes in our communities. The post holder will deliver the "Help With all Your Heart" Community CPR and Defibrillator Training programme to schools, community groups, and organisations across Devon, and support the development of future community training programmes. Key responsibilities include creating networks and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, presenting information and training in an engaging way, and collaborating with various teams to build and maintain good working relationships and deliver joint initiatives. The Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience in first aid or health training, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. They will also be responsible for planning and organising training programmes and supporting the development of new community training initiatives. Additionally, the role requires occasional physical effort for event setup, and due to the public-facing role, the postholder may be exposed to distressing conversations or circumstances.
